In 2013, Ascent embarked on its journey, establishing our core capabilities in Finance & Accounting and Human Resource Operations. These early strides laid the groundwork for what would become a remarkable saga of growth and transformation.
By 2017, we began to scale up our
operations, expanding our purview to encompass Supply Chain & Logistics capabilities. Concurrently, we diligently worked on standardizing processes, ensuring efficiency and reliability in every endeavour.
The year 2020 marked a significant milestone for Ascent as we focused on strengthening our analytical prowess and reporting mechanisms. Investing in building local capabilities, we honed our skills, poised to meet the challenges of an increasingly complex business landscape.
However, it was in 2021 that Ascent truly came into its own, redefining our operating model with a keen eye on delivering tangible value. Aligning the organizational capabilities with precision, we orchestrated a symphony of innovation and efficiency, culminating in a P&L impact exceeding $7 million.

Shewanka Ekanayake brings in over 25 years of experience across Global Business Services, Manufacturing and Service industries, with expertise in managing complex, multidisciplinary projects on strategy, performance improvement and change management. Shewanka is committed to create customer value and grow Ascents global footprint.
Vishwanath Pai is the Chief Executive Officer at Ascent Business Solutions, bringing over 22 years of expertise in global operations, process transformation, and technology integration. With a strong background in lean methodology, process automation, and emerging tech. Vishy is dedicated to driving impactful change and delivering measurable value for Ascent’s clients worldwide.
Ashroff Omar has played a pivotal role in reshaping the Sri Lankan apparel industry for more than four decades. He is recognized for pioneering environmentally friendly manufacturing and establishing the world’s first LEED platinum facility for eco-friendly manufacture.
Suwan Perera oversees the Risk & Control function, which includes Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, and Brand Protection. With an extensive background within Brandix, Suwan has played a vital role in financial management and strategic planning.
THE TEAM
Rukmali is a Chartered Accountant and subject matter advisor with years of experience in leading and delivering large scale operations.
She has been working closely with CLIENTs on strategic initiatives and brings business perspective while managing a team of talented individuals.
Shiran has extensive experience in the Financial Services & Supply Chain industry and has led transformations with extensive use of automation.
He will provide critical thinking and bring proven and robust practices to transform
Asanga is a certified Master Black Belt in lean Six Sigma with over 20 years of experience in Pharmaceutical, Dairy, Brewing, Construction and Apparel industry. He will act as a ‘sounding board’ for the team, bring new insights and connect with clients going through similar transformations.
Thilan counts over 25 years of experience in the field of Human Resources at diverse sectors namely Banking, Finance and Insurance, Manufacturing, Apparel and BPO/IT. A Chartered HR Practitioner and former Chairman for the Human Resources Committee of the Insurance Association of Sri Lanka (IASL) .
